This is pretty awesome.
Thanks to the work of visual effects artist Glenn O Neill, the ultimate mash-up has finally been created. O Neill, who cites Quentin Tarantino as his favorite director, plucked pieces of dialogue from various Tarantino films and put them to work in singing Madonna’s “Like A Virgin”. Well, they don’t exactly sing the song, of course, but the lines from the characters end up coming off like a rough spoken-word cover of Madonna’s hit – all together, it’s humorously enthralling.
Sure, the video O Neill has compiled sounds a bit stilted at times, but there are also some priceless moments in there. Especially thanks to appearances of everyone from Jackie Brown to Kill Bill’s Gogo Yubari. It’s even a bit of a nod to the opening scene in Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs, when the crew have their diner discussion of the reasoning behind “Like A Virgin”.
Definitely check it out…yet another reminder of how fantastically wicked Tarantino designed his characters to be:
